Helen Butleroff was born of parents who met while dancing on Broadway. She performed for seven years as a child on NBC-TV's "The Children's Hour", and after receiving her BA in Speech/Theatre she performed as a Radio City Rockette, and was dance captain on Broadway for " Mack and Mabel" starring Robert Preston. This led her to a career of directing and choreography. Her NY directing and choreography credits include Jerry Herman's" The Grand Tour" at The Jewish Repertory Theatre, "The Gay Divorce" at the Kaufman Theater, and "Yiddle with a Fiddle" at Town Hall. She has directed/choreographed over 50 musicals for regional theaters including Goodspeed Opera house, Kansas City Starlight, Maine State Music Theatre, Westbury Music Fair, Music Theatre of Wichita, and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Helen is producer/creator/director/choreographer of two critically acclaimed hit Off- Broadway musicals in NYC - Pets!, which has now been published by Dramatic Publishing and has played over 22 cities across the US, and That's Life!, which has toured over 20 cities and was nominated by the Outer Critics Circle as best Off-Broadway musical. |
